About Sicily

Sicily is the second largest producer of wine in Italy after Veneto. In recent years, Sicily has been recognized for its quality wines. Especially from the area around the volcano Etna, which is famous for its red wines based on the Nerello Mascalese grape, which produces austere and spicy wines.

Cerasuolo di Vittoria is the only area in Sicily with Italy’s highest DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) classification and produces mainly red wines based on the local Nero D’Avola grape.
